India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test Live

Mahmudullah marked his guard after Mushfiqur Rahim, centurion in Chittagong, had been trapped on the crease by Ishant Sharma. He eased nerves with a neat glance for four off Zaheer Khan and then continued to go for his shots once Shakib had chased a wide one from Zaheer into the hands of MS Dhoni. Zaheer was then pulled and upper-cut for four and after Shahadat Hossain went, stumped off the bowling of Pragyan Ojha, he swept and reverse-swept Harbhajan to keep the Indians on their toes.

Mushfiqur carried on where he left off in Chittagong with some pleasing drives and cuts either side of lunch, and Shakib followed suit, but it was left to Mahmudullah to bring something substantial to the proceedings.

Dhoni also spoke about the weight of expectations on being the No.1 side. "There are obviously expectations from you when you are No.1, that you need to win this way, but I am not a man who likes to make statements. I like to make statements on the field. I am a practical guy. Yes we did not do that well in the first innings in the last Test, but the way we came back was good and that's what is expected. It was a decent start but we can put up a better performance than that."

Watch India vs Sri Lanka, 1st ODI, Rajkot Live Streaming

Watch India vs Sri Lanka, 1st ODI, Rajkot Live Streaming this December. India, despite their No. 2 ICC ranking, are not exactly bristling with confidence. They might have won 14 out of 23 completed ODIs this year, but are coming off a disappointing Champions Trophy and a home-series defeat to Australia.

Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh's participation in the opening match of the ODI series against Sri Lanka is in doubt after he complained of pain in his little finger on the left hand while fielding during the second Twenty20 in Mohali on Saturday. A final decision will be taken on Monday, the eve of the match in Rajkot.

"We want to win the series that's what we are supposed to do, [but] at the same time not being overconfident is also important," Dhoni said.
